Sofa Slipcovers
Sofa
slipcovers are
versatile, stylish and make decorating with miss-matched or ugly
furniture quite simple. Have a pea green sofa that needs
updating? Simple. Have three pieces of furniture that aren't in
the same color family? No problem. Simply dress them all in
slipcovers. If you'd rather change your room colors with the
seasons or have a personality that changes with the tides, you
can purchase multiple slipcover fabrics and continuously mix and
match your furniture decor without having to spend hundreds of
dollars on new furniture pieces.
These come in a variety of fabrics including velvet, suede,
denim, corduroy, herringbone, polyester, and cotton. They can be
made stretchy or loose. They come in single or multiple pieces.
Nearly all of them are machine washable and can be spot cleaned.
Most are too large for the average home washing machine so many
consumers will either have them professionally cleaned or take them
to a commercial laundry facility to put in larger washers. Sofa
slipcovers are even handy if you have beautiful couches that you
simply want to protect from children, pets or large groups of
people. It's not uncommon to see young families with slipcovers on
sofas to protect their furniture during their children's younger
messier years.
Sofa slipcovers cover a range of sizes including:
Loveseat (80" x
140") and Sofa (80" x 170")
There are six main styles of slipcovers for sofas and loveseats.
They include:
- Straight Skirt
with Ties
- No-Tie Wrap Tailored Skirt
- No-Tie Wrap with Waterfall Skirt
- Stretch
- 2 Piece Separate Seat (Semi-Custom)
- 1 Piece T-Cushion with Ties
- 2 Piece Stretch Separate Seat
When shopping you want to find the one that fits your decor,
color scheme, furniture style, and budget. The easiest to maintain
are those that are snug fitting and don't require a lot of extra
tucking each time someone sits on the sofa. We recommend additional
stain protection like scotch guard in order to protect your cover
from permanent staining. Even though they are far less expensive
than buying a brand new sofa, you still want to protect your
slipcover investment from major tears and stains.
Don't forget to consider chair
slipcovers to match the ones you get for your couch or
sofa.
